property was dirty and walls greasy upon move-in, along with the bathroom light being completely broken which is indicative of the landlord's attitude. my flatmate and i (plus our families) had to deep clean the flat ourselves upon move-in in order to make it inhabitable without discomfort. be wary of hidden clauses in the lease, such as requiring professional cleaning post-tenancy be paid for by tenants (despite- as aforementioned- flat not being in a professional or passable level of cleanliness upon move-in). when writing references for my future housing, landlord hadn't even taken the time to learn my name, as was misspelled on the documents provided, and was on occasion completely unresponsive to correspondence. giving five stars because repairs and such for boiler and washing machine were carried out promptly by repairmen sent by landlord, and furniture which was broken upon move-in (some chairs and a kettle) were replaced promptly, though they should've really been identified and replaced without prompting.
